at the Connecticut Sheep and Wool. I scored a delicious mohair fleece from a goat named Little Joe; it is the finest mohair that I've ever been lucky enough to find. There's some outside drying even as we speak. Also, found a lovely Shetland that is the blackest of blacks. I'll post some pictures soon.
The little critter is named June and what a sweet baby. It was a good day!
Welcome! I am a hand spinner and the whole process of spinning yarn from raw fleece to pretty yarn just fascinates me. I hope I can share on a tip or two about fiber. I'd like to share the scenery from around my home in beautiful New England and perhaps a recipe (and too many pictures of Jake and Marvin, our dogs). I hope you enjoy..................Emily

Batts!
Merino, Corriedale and Bond |
Maybe it is the (finally) beginning of Spring but whatever the reason, I've been spinning a whole lot of stuff. The Merino is going to be a 2 ply and I'm spinning it on my Sabrina. The Sabrina is new to me and what a wheel........more on that to come.
